Leadership
Ken Bertelsen
is a founding member of the Rod and Gun Club. He has always taken
an active part in the club by being the Fishing Chairman. He has
always owned a sea going vessel that he shares with club members.
He presently owns a 41 ft. Tiara that he berths at Pillar Pt. or Oyster
Pt., depending on where the fishing is located. He is a member of
Coastside Fishing Club and has written articles on how to fish for
Albacore Tuna off of San Mateo Co. Coast. He is also an avid duck
hunter and shares ownership of a club near Willows. He lives with
his wife Dora in San Carlos.

Darold Givens
is 67 years old and has been a member of the FC Rod and Gun Club
soon after it’s inception in 1981. He has been editor, president and
secretary/treasurer which he is presently. He has grown up in the
Bay Area and has hunted and fished since his teen years. He owns a
17 ft fishing boat that he uses regularly. He hunts upland game and
shares ownership of a duck club near Willows, CA. His goal is to
share his outdoor experiences with his 12 year old grandson, Ryan.
Ryan presently fishes with him and will soon hunt with him in the
upcoming season next season. Darold would like to see present
members and new members get active and take advantage of the
many opportunities we have to shoot, camp and fish.

Rocky Ferraro
Rocky is the editor and is responsible for taking the Foster City Rod
and Gun Club into the 21st Century. When asked how old he was,
with a wink of an eye Rocky said "I'm 21" . He is passionate about
spending time in the outdoors and loves reliving his time spent
there with true to life stories. Rocky always says " You can't just
write these stories you have to live them first" and I think he's right.
He enjoys creating the experience from the ground up. Recently he
caught some high sierras wild rainbow trout on a fly rod he built and
a fly he tied. He says there is no finer satisfaction than these kinds
of accomplishments, "They come from down deep inside! Earlier in
the year he was able to call in some wild turkeys with a wing bone
call he crafted.
